one more thing(totally amazed i forgot this) sask has hands down the worst drivers and roads in canada..if you move to saskatoon you'll find the drivers go alittle over the speed limit which i really dont have a problem with but in regina people go less than the speed limit and has a form of road rage which is most unique..just a honest warning

I think this comment accurately reflects why Saskatchewan, once the wealthiest jurisdiction on the planet and today possessing more potential then anywhere else in the world, is a third world province – you believe government is responsible and should be involved/partner/instigator when we know government is the problem and should be restricted/suppressed/avoided.

All I said that Ralph Klein was gone and that Alberta had a new leader and hardly shows my business related ethics about the province......but if you think that's why Saskatchewan is a "third world province" (nice terminology by the way while ignorant and irrelevant is creative in a typical limited mental capacity) keep thinking that. Thanks for the lesson on the evils of socialism.

Nope sorry, must have missed that sign at school today. You sure it's there?

Again, Saskatchewan was once the wealthiest jurisdiction on this planet

You keep saying 'once the wealthiest jurisdiction' on the planet. Could you mayhaps explain how you came up with that conclusion in comparison with the rest of the countries in the worlds' natural resources?

held the most promise of any province in Canada through its massive petroleum, potash, and uranium reserves and agricultural capability.

It still does. The Sask economy is better than ever.

It’s interesting to note that what was once the third most populace province in Confederation, still has not increased in over 110 years and now Edmonton has more people then the entire province. The depression nearly destroyed both Alberta and Saskatchewan and following it they both chose decidedly different routes with one relying on government and the other relying on the private sector. The proof is in the pudding.

Big deal, Edmonton has more people than the entire provinces of PEI, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, all with populations below Saskatchewan.....what is your point? In fact, more and more of your arguments are becoming more muddled. What is it, you don't like Saskatchewan?

Funny, I've found that more people drive slowly here and don't even drive the speed limit.

I'm not saying that there aren't any dumbass drivers in Saskatoon, god knows how many people have tried to smash into me, intentionally or not, and every summer on 8th street and circle drive has a good dollop of accidents which causes traffic lanes to F--- up and have to pray somebody lets you into the good lane.

I am chiming in a little late

I live in Prince Albert, SK. I have lived her all my life (33 yrs). I have not had any problems with racism, violence or crime. never had my home broken into or my car, nothing stolen and never threatened or hurt.

We are close to the lakes. Christopher and Emma Lake are only 30 mins away, Candle lake 45 mins and Prince Albert national Park (Waskiseu lake) is 40. Amazing fishing and camping. We have sun all year long. There may not be mountains but plenty of places for cross country skiing

Housing prices are very reasonable. The home I bought 2 yrs ago is a 1968 bungalow, 1168 sq ft. 75K. Better than prices where you are?

What's a home on the river in the East End go for?
On MLS they are listed from 24 500 to 199 999. There are some older homes and then a newer development

Knoss @ Thu Feb 22, 2007 8:59 pm

here houses cost between $2 000,oo and $50 000,oo with the construction of new homes being impractical.

Well?

Knoss @ Sun Feb 25, 2007 5:05 pm

Saskatoon would be a better city if people stoped giving money to panhandelers.

I love Saskatchewan but I left in 2001. I plan on going back someday soon. It's not a province of mountains. But it ain't all that damn flat either. Nothing against prairie, it can be romantic at times and quite majestic to see that much country all laid out before you, and that damn much sky all above you. It truly is beautiful but there is also a LOT more to the province. And as someone who hails from North of North Battleford and at one time called Saskatoon home AND as someone who has for various reasons traveled all around the province I can honestly tell you that we have a terrific place to call home. And I personally think the "personality" of the province more than makes up for any pretty mountains. I like mountains, but although you vacation to different places for the scenery and the climate, you STAY and LIVE at a place for it's people. PDT_Armataz_01_36

And Saskatchewan people rock.
