No, and I don't know how you twisted this around. You seemed to arguing that people should be able to act on their conscience - ie discriminate if they want to.
I would rather have some one...especially a doctor...tell me flat out that they won't serve me, than do something half assed (or worse) while being forced to serve me.
I know, I know...it never happens that way...it's against the law.
That's back to the good old days tho. As I said, I thought we'd settled that. I think it's better that people get out of the business if their conscience prevents them from performing the service they are contracted to do.
Next up - Muslim Canadian soldiers who won't fight against a Muslim enemy. Jain Canadians who join the army but won't fight because their religion tells them not to take any life.
Here's a couple of Hunsperger's sermons someone recorded...
"It's amazing that the people of Israel don't accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour"
Yep, you heard it right - "circumsion prevents HIV!"
What a wackadoodle!

Please! I want that guy governing my province! Elect him now!
I propose a new Meme, to say someone has "Hunsperger's Syndrome" means to be a rat bastard low brow bigot.

Alberta Election 2012: Being Caucasian an edge, Wildrose candidate says
CALGARY — A day after an Edmonton-based Wildrose candidate came under fire for controversial religious views, a Calgary-based candidate with the party found himself in the headlines for on-air comments suggesting his chances of victory in Monday's Alberta election were better than his non-white rivals.
"I think as a Caucasian I have an advantage," Ron Leech told a radio station on the weekend. "When different community leaders such as a Sikh leader or a Muslim leader speak, they really speak to their own people in many ways. As a Caucasian, I believe that I can speak to all the community."

I'd like to think that these sorts of bozo eruptions by the WRA would sink them. Given how wound up and energetic Dinger's (sammich) People are right now though I doubt it'll be enough to stop them.
As bad as it is, he may be right in some way. Caucasian is often seen as an almost default option. A white guy can be seen as speaking too or for anyone whereas visible minorities are sometimes only seen as being their skin colour or their religion.
Still a stupid thing to say though.

Good thing that all the wackos & nutjobs are only in the WRP, eh?
God forbid that anything should/could/would/did happen to sully any of the other parties!

Sounds like it's merely a choice between groupthinks. One that is socially acceptable and one that is not.

Oh, I'll be the first to admit that the PCs of old weren't any better - but what makes me think this group is better than those under Klein and Getty is that most of the cronies and wackos have all defected to the PCs - with the exception of a handful like Morton.
That says something positive about the PCs under Redford IMHO.
The current crop of PCs looks far more like Lougheed's bunch than any other group of PCs since - and let's face it, Lougheed was probably the best Premier this province ever had (certainly the best in my lifetime anyways).

Best campaign slogan ever! "fuck it! I'm voting PC!"
Kind of funny... and um if it was WR or separation party even I would probably vote WR.
I wonder who put that out, I didn't look to closely but it sounds like the work of the Alberta democratic renewal project http://www.drproject.ca/about.php
I see the Liberal Party got 4 votes. That's more than they got for real, so there's been some non Albertans skewing the poll...

That was painful to watch. The acting was incredibly stilted and unconvincing. Are they trying to get me to vote Wildrose out of spite?
Wildrose radio says this is a scandal because Premier Mom hadn't released this news by the time Wildrose Dave came on air at 9am today.

Alberta's Envoy to Hong Kong Gary Mar cleared
Gary Mar has been reinstated as Alberta's Envoy to Hong Kong by Deputy Minister of Executive Council Peter Watson.
Premier Alison Redford said Thursday morning she was not told about the decision.
"I have been clear from the beginning of this process that I would play no role in the investigation. I have not played any role after referring it to the civil service to be dealt with nor was I informed of the decision," she said.
"This is an employee - employer matter and will continue to be dealt with without my involvement."
Mar was investigated over allegations that he auctioned off a trip to Asia at a $400-a-plate dinner to clear up a quarter-million-dollars in debt from his failed Progressive Conservative leadership bid.
Mar, put on leave without pay, insisted he hasn't done anything wrong. He remained adamant he did not compromise his position as a business go-between in Hong Kong.
