Not really,Trochu,three hills,Elnora,I could go on and on.lots of cheap houses and NOT 3 hours from Calgary,more like 1 on a slow day.

   

nah ... Alberta is a shit hole for expensive fly by nighters . It used to be a good province where you could get a good deal on property but not anymore . doesn't matter how many hours you travel away from the major centers . You might find a 750 to 1000 sq foot trailer for 50k to 90k in the middle of nowhere but thats as good as it will get .Ralph is a fool hes going to let the province turn into major centers stuffed full of ghettos ie NY and Toronto . I think many people will lose everything they have in Alberta oops don't have to worry about that because 40 years in alberta and I've seen the results over the last decade and it doesn't look promising . Really I'm ashamed of what young first time homebuying familys are going through in Alberta . Two income families with a hopeful subsidy daycare plan in the works and they still struggle , union workers given their one way ticket out of where they grew up . What a fucked up province . Nope its not lawyers or doctors or upper paid proffesionals who have the nicest houses its the builders and realestate land/property flippers .

   

Im at 3 hills ,came in 02 just this year developers are opening up 2 subdivisions of 60 lots and 1 of 20 , its got a hospital with 5 doctors maybe thats the attraction. Houses are sold before their built , nothing for rent.Lots of people living in RVs

Heard a realtor on the evening news saying that from now on some people will simply be locked out of the Calgary market

I rented a mobile home at Trochu for about $450.00/month last winter,1 hr commute to Cowtown.Could have bought it out right for about $20,000.

My bud's in 3 hills pipelining for A and B,they play a little poker after hours.He'll be the guy living in his minivan at the campground.

Drive 20 miles north to Elnora,house's for under $80,000,stop in the bar and say hello to the blonde for me also.

Was the mobil home on trailer park property ie Monthly Property Fee ?
I know a couple who bought a trailer for $28k in Calgary but the land rent is almost $700.00 per month or $84000 over ten years also land taxes are $2300 per year (not the responsibility of the park)

   

In 3 hills theres a a couple of trailer parks , heard the fees are $200/ mo. Local Remax would know ph is 403-443-6666. We always go to Red Deer for city shopping 1 hour @ 100ks/ hr

the park wouldn't be responsible for anything incuding sewage , water , power lines , roads , etc etc etc . the hidden costs to the renter or owner would be enormous .

   

Monthly fee which was included in the rent and would have been about $75.00/ month if it stayed there. Lots of land available though even if it's raw. Go talk to some farmers.
The campground was $450.00/month anyways.

   

just phoned some friends who live there , may bad , its $70 bucks / month not including taxes

   

not bad deal I suppose both that deal and Ziggys deal were owners who just wanted to rent so they wouldn't be stuck with the bills with no profit to them .

   

Hey ziggy whats with this horizon deal , how do you get hooked up for work there? Is that tar sands at Fort McKay ? north of macmurry ?

   

Cost me about $700.00/month including utilities and I ate good.

Talk to the farmers,offer to pay to have a quarter section cut into 4's or subdivided.

Blows me away how many folks are missing out on good deals just so they can live in or near the city.

   

The park my friends are in is about 40 units , mostly long term residence , its well looked after

   

yea when we lived in Edmonton 1 hour commute from the east side to St.Albert for work was normal. Might as well live out here.
