antiamerica.com eh. hmmm. wonder if they might be just a tincy weeny little bit bias hmm?
No, not at all if anything I think it is a bit to pro American for an anti-America site. The site is actually ran by Americans and as I am sure we all know even the most leftist anti-American Americans are far right pro-America people compared to the rest of the world. I will just be happy once America finally falls, that is part of the reason why I moved to Canada so that I can help with Americas destruction without worrying about the American Gestapo knocking down my door.
Sorry to say this, but if the U.S. were to fall, so would Canada. We can't sustain ourselves without eachother.
Also, as far as racism goes....it's everywhere, in all corners of the world. Unfortunately it will always exist.
Actually Canada has the resources and enough infrastructure to be self-sustaining, Wildfire. The US no longer does. You are right though...there is a mutual dependence. The difference is that we depend on the US as a market where they depend on us for a supply of raw materials.
The US will fall eventually. That's inevitable because all empires have fallen in time, crumbling from the inside. The US is showing signs of that and has been for a couple of decades. That's the main reason why think it is very important that Canada break its dependence on the US. There are other markets in the world and to depend on only one is a bad idea at the best of times.
But wouldn't that leave Canada being a "sitting duck" for trouble? Canada does get protection from U.S forces. Natural resources or not, Canada would crumble as well. Canada couldn't make it without the U.S. I know some may not want to admit that, but Canada does depend on the U.S more than the U.S. depends on it.
Canada has many allies besides the US. We are part of many multilateral institutions. We also have very few enemies because we have stayed largely within the scope of those multilateral institutions and do not have a history of imperialism outside of our own country (what we've done to the natives here at home is another matter).
We also have enough infrastructure and a high standard of education, so the idea that we depend on the US for manufactured goods doesn't hold. We have a transportation system that can haul goods from one end of Canada to the other. We have manufacturing facilities that can produce finished goods from our raw materials.
We depend on the US only as a market. They are Canada's biggest trading partner. If the US was to fail in our current situation we would be dragged down with it. If we were to change our situation so that we sold into more diverse markets a failure of the US would still hurt (it will hurt everybody when it happens) but we would not be dragged down with it.
I am so sick of Americans who think that the world depends on them and that they are the centre of the world. Well America, WE DON'T. We do not need you nor do we want you. I am sure most will agree with me when I say that Canada seriously needs to change relations with the US from "ally" to "hostile". We need troops on our borders to keep the Americans from coming in and ruining our country.
Hopefully someday the world will unite to bring down the US. We will all be much better once that happens. I doubt anyone would disagree with me on this. If anything the US depends more on Canada then they depend on us. We can and should stop all trading with the US and have the UN impose embargos on them. This will give America a taste of their own medicine and help speed up their ultimate collapse.
Great times are ahead of us and I am glad I am alive to witness them. Canadian and European Union tanks rolling down the streets of New York and Los Angeles will be coming very soon.
I think you're missing something there, Pole...it is highly unlikely that the EU would attack the US without serious provocation. Even then, the battle would far more likely be on the trade front than the military one.
Considering the amount of US debt owned by the EU and China it is quite likely that either could the US into turmoil without a shot being fired. The question would then become if the US could even afford to go to war.
As I said, I doubt the EU would do that without serious provocation. China might though. They are the biggest potential market in the world and as they modernise and a middle class develops, they might consider it to their advantage.
The worst racism I've encountered was in BC, the anger and bias and ignorance against natives there was frightening. In Manitoba it was an attitude of acceptance and compassion, unless you were a Mountie and then they'd leave them to freeze in the middle of no where.
You have to be Kidding me...the poor natives...come on stop with that stuff! ?I have Native ancestors but i dont rely on oh my people were oppresssed by the man. If you have that mentality this country will go no where. I just say get over it you are not the owners of this country...you just came upon this land by crossing the siberian glacier...technically your Asian! The world belongs to humans...not just one people! The sooner people let go of there "i am native attitude" and be part of the futur as "I am CAnadian" then the whole of Canada will be better!
