The only change is that certain politicians are politically forced into giving lip service to the lie that is told often enough it is considered the truth.

"Alie told often enough becomes the truth."
Vladimir Lenin

On the global scene increased INDIA/CHINA polution is making a mockery of what in reality was a mockey in the first place.

AGW supporters are uniformed, ignorant, uneducated useful idiots influenced more by rock-stars than reason. And then there are the politically/financially motivated charlatons.

Wait, I'm confused about your position, Sasquatch.

On the one hand it sounds like you don't believe that Climate Change/ Abrupt Global warming is an issue, that it's all a made-up lie.

But on the other hand, you seem to criticise the politicians for their hypocrisy, their lack of action, the weakness of Kyoto...

Any chance you could clarify for me where you are on this? Thanks.

AGW ISA MADE UP LIE and the CO2 theory that a trace amount of CO2 drives climate is rubbish.

The climate currently IS warming just as it has in cycles for the last 60million years. Just as inevitable as the sun comes up in the east and sets in the west.

These fools who cannot accurately forecast weather are now claiming to forecast decades or centuries in advance is also rubbish. Even worse they claim to be able to change/modify climate......rubbish

The IPCC bases it's entire agenda on these silly computer models which are unable to duplicate past climate. The computer modeler's proponents than attempt to dismiss/rewrite history. These computer models are as relevant as "Space Invaders"...the game. Rubbish...

The so-called consensus exists only in the media----an unprecedented, massive propaganda effort which has succeeded in convincing the uninformed, gullible, uneducated useful idiots who support the AGW thing.

Politicians are practicing the art of the possible and giving lip service to this rubbish because they do not have the control of the media, that the AGW camp has. They are not supporting AGW but are merely compelled by this media propaganda campaign of lies and misrepresentations.

The only politicians with the grit to oppose this rubbish are in the US where the media is not quite as politicized as Canada's.

Polar Bears are not threatened with extinction unless their overpopulation is a risk.
Pacific Islands are not being flooded.
Greenland and Antarctic Icecaps are growing not shrinking....
Martian ICE CAPs are shrinking however.....without the influence of terrestrial cause.
Currently CO2 is about 350 ppm----plant life requires at least 200 ppm----optimum growth occurs at 1000ppm. Greenhouse operators suplement the CO2 to 1000 ppm to enhance growth and reduce watering.......maybe that is a valid reason for labeling CO2 as a "greenhouse gas" and perhaps the only one.

Does that clarify your fuzzification?

The governments plan to cut pollution is the first. The Kyoto junket did nothing to address that problem. Pollution is hurting us more then CO2 is, or ever will.

Overproduction of carbon dioxide is pollution.

Plants breath carbon dioxide... get wrid of it and you starve off the very life that gives us oxygen to breath.

The rise in CO2 can probably be tied directly to the clear cutting and the destruction of the rainforest

How is it a pollutant when all plant life relies upon it?

Why do companies pump it into greenhouses to boost plant production?

Heavy concentrations of CO2 increase plant growth.

Cutting down rain forests (the Earth's largest carbon sink) to grow bio fuels is idiotic in the extreme.

Carbon trading. What piffle.

Carbon trading is like an alcoholic paying somebody else to drink so the alcoholic can carry on drinking.
It makes no sense to carry on polluting and pay others who don't pollute as much as a substitute so you are 'carbon neutral'. Bloody silly.

Nobody is really doubting we need to do something about pollution but Kyoto is a non-starter as long as China is not on board. The Chinese plan to build 500 more coal fired power stations in the next ten years. They are already the worlds biggest polluter
I'm sure if I use one piece of toilet paper each time I crap it should offset their pollution.

The whole debate is hypocritical.
Gore lives in a big fuck-off mansion and consumes more hydro than my street probably does. Sure he’s paid ‘carbon taxes’ so he’s ‘carbon neutral’ but he still consumes the same amount of hydro.
He has seen that the great unwashed and the media types are lapping up his shite and he’s extending his 15 minutes of fame.
Suzuki waxed lyrical about agriculture in bankrupt and oppressive Cuba as an example to us all. I bet using an ox to till the Prairies would really up ethanol production.

People really need to take a huge pill on this. I agree we need to make industry cut back on pollution. I’m more concerned about smog and my little girl’s lungs than perceived changes in Tuvalu’s sea level.
Surely if Tuvalu is experiencing rising waters the whole planet would?

A lot of these ‘environmentalist’ arguments just don’t add up.

Mainstream media would rather whine about terrorists getting duffed up in jail, after they have murdered kids and shot at our soldiers than support our troops trying to drag Afghanistan out of the Dark Ages.
Why should we swallow their shite on climate change and their chosen prophets such as Gore or Suzuki?

I dont think anyone has ever used the term extinction yet when it comes to the bears ( and sasqauck talks abot fear mongering?)

Greenland and Antarctic ice is not growing

Amazing how this guy just spreads anything that comes to his heaD( hiv SPREAD by sweat, pee)
knowing simple minded RW,s will buy into it.

Why is he allowed to get away with it?

Pretty sad in Canada for everybody to pay attention to ONE person, an American at that, who lost the presidential election, on the environment. For all the attention he is getting, he might as well be King Midas with the touch of gold.

It is amazing that this troll, defies convention in this denial. Medical staff dress like they are going to the moon, when treating HIV positives. All emergency workers wear plastic gloves to TOUCH ANYONE.
It is accepted evidence that DNA can be found in sweat or tears. That's the presense of epithelial cells---hence HIV.........

It is amazing this troll hasn't been banned here too.

It would seem that zoology and the environment are heavily linked. If the health of the environment goes downhill, so does the health of the animals within it.

Really then why are climatology and meteorolgy separate disciplines?

Suzuki has never done any research after getting his doctorate. He spent his career as a broadcaster. Does that make Lloyd Robertson a valid environmentalist as well? or John Lennon an expert on marine biology???

Not criticizing him, merely questioning why a single American garners so much attention.

sasquatch2 @ Wed May 02, 2007 7:02 pm

Why not criticize this pompous buffoon?

He went to Washington to bring the word and got laughed off the HILL.

The students at Concordia, booed and heckled him and then walked out.

The Goricle is an ass.

Tman1 @ Wed May 02, 2007 7:11 pm

I stand by my point. Why should anybody in Canada care about what this guy thinks about the environment?

He got booed and heckled at Concordia? Didn't know that. All I know is that he is or was in Regina talking about the Tories. Whether or not he was booed or heckled is irrelevant, this person should be a fart in the wind and fade away for Canadians. Just curious as to why so many Canadians are giving him so much attention. The same (or not the same) would be said for Bob Rae crusading in the U.S. a failed Liberal candidate...the American people would go..who?
