Hello Games does it again. I paid $60 for this game almost 5 years ago. I play it almost every day, and they keep improving it - free of charge.
Oh, and the update that changes the entire Universe is a whopping 1.4GB.

If I wasn't so caught up in Elite Dangerous, I'd check it out.
I've roped a few of my former clan into playing it.
It is staggeringly huge. I can't express the scope of the game in human terms.
You can explore an entire planet. In caves, under water. Then the solar system can have 0 to 7 more planets and moons. Then there are millions of such solar systems.
When you get done/bored with E:D, check it out.
For me, it's the best game, and the best VR game.
Maybe once the Beagle Point run has been completed.
I keep forgetting to try it out, it's in my library. Is there a good starters guide anywhere?

Thought I'd give the fence sitters a little taste of No Mans' Sky, in VR.
Just in my Capital ship, a freighter. I scan a few of the AI ships there, to see if any are worth buying. I then leave, because one of my Dreadnoughts came back damaged and the crew are too scardeycat to go out on the gantry and fix it.
I skip to the end of the boring repairs part, and get back in my personal ship, and go back to the freighter.
