Conservative Candidate... Charged with Smuggling
Delwin @ Thu Jan 12, 2006 9:10 am
O.k, lets all be proud of the Conservatives, they dumped their guy cause he was a smuugler. Now, hopefully they'll screen the rest of the candadits, Harper expecting the candadits to be more forthcoming just doesn't cut it. You obviously can't run your party on the honour system.

Truer words were never spoke
Are you working on an answer then?
Should I go back and regurgitate all of this moral outrage?
This was fast, fair, and cut the legs out from under the Liberals
Delwin @ Thu Jan 12, 2006 9:30 am
It was that same morally outrage that got Harper to dump this criminal, he backed him up until this morning. The liberal site called for Harper to give him the boot and he did, Good boy Harper, Good boy. It's still funny though that he backed him until he realised that this would be a major blow to his campaign. He didn't even have the decency to dump him upon hearing the charges, he had to wait for public opinion to make his decision for him, what a soulless puppet.
Criminal? Do you know something we do not?
Should we give the man a fair trial?

Oh spare me even a Conservative snake like Harper couldn't squirm out of that one"um officer it was my friends car, he asked me to take it across the border with all this booze in the trunk, really, I was going to come back, honest", so why did he dump this innocent man then? No respect for Canadian Courts?

Says the person condemning Martin and all Liberals for corruption. The man may indeed be innocent until proven guilty, something you apparently do not believe in, but had that been a Liberal candidate youknow full well you would have been the first person to start a thread and attack the entire Liberal party because of it. Don't waste our time trying to deny it.
This is delicious. You've lost it.
The man has been charged but has not had a trial
He has not been convicted in a court of law so he is not yet a "criminal"
He was yet to be charged, so nothing would show on a record check
He didn't mention these pending charges so that violates his agreement as a candidate.
Let me get Donald Marshall Jr., David Milgaard and Guy Paul Morin on the phone for you, Delwin.

How can you sit there and defend the man's potential innocence and approve of his removal from the conservative party in the same breath? And he was charged by the way, it would have shown up on a CPIC check which is available to any law enforcement officer, I thought you cons were experts in law enforcement?

Perhaps you would care to explain why PMPM and all the Liberals are guilty because of the corruption for a few? PMPM was exonerated by gomery yet you don't think so. IS your official stance "innocent until proven guilty" applicable only to non-Liberals?
Delwin @ Thu Jan 12, 2006 10:59 am
No they're ignoring you derby, by my tally the score is:
Derby 1
All Conservatives on site 0

Ridenrain decided to take a page out of my books by ignoring me (something I do for a people like hwanker) when he saw that his blatant hypocracy surrounding his hatred of all things Liberal blinded himself to every real issue the rest of us Canadians must think about.
Once upon a time we actually debated issues but he decided that the only opinion he will consider is "all Liberals are crooks". It is the utmost in gross hypocracy that he now advocates an "innocent until proven gulty" position for the CPC candidate when I echoed that very statement to him many months ago with regards to gomery, corruption and Paul Martin. Sad really.

True, and I'm sure they wouldn't want us digging up any of those old quotes.
Actually, I wanted to see how big of a fit you'd all have.
First off, lets find a place to start:
$1:
The man has been charged but has not had a trial
He has not been convicted in a court of law so he is not yet a "criminal"
True or false?

True. PMPM was exonerated by gomery and so isn't guilty of corruption?
