This one might interest Alberta hockey fans...if they missed it.
Oilers' Kassian likely to be suspended for going after Flames' Tkachuk
To be honest I kind of enjoyed it myself even though I'm not an Albertan.
That Tkachuck is not nice to my team either. We should have drafted him when we had the chance. So we wouldn't have to play against him.
Here's an interesting stat for Canuck's fans:
Here's a cute one you might like Strutz, or maybe you've heard about it. Canuck's captain, Bo Horvat and his new wife since September - girlfriend for 10 years - are expecting.

Shhh...they're trying to keep the news from their French Bulldog.
Oh, and did you notice our guys are top of the Pacific now?
No I hadn't heard about it. Good for them though.
Yes, I knew about the Canucks being first in the Pacific division but the race for playoff spots is so tight with only a few points separating us from being first to not even being in a wild card spot. It will be a roller coaster ride to the end of the season but I remain optimistic about our chances.
So... did anyone watch the NHL all-star games last night?
Pacific Division won!
It was quite entertaining watching the players have fun and play 3-on-3 hockey with almost no real hits and penalty-free.
The skills competition was fun to watch as well.
I liked that they included the Canadian and US women having their own 3-on-3 game with the Canadian women narrowly defeating the US.
Shamefully I admit I never watch the all-star game.
Kind of wish I did now though after hearing about it.
Although...I did watch a few minutes of the skills competition and don't regret changing the channel.
Worried about our Canucks though.
Tough game tomorrow against St. Louis. Then they go on a killer 5 game road trip against more tough teams. Things should mellow out after that though.
I was a bit worried about the 10 day break they had since their last game but they played awesome tonight against a really good St. Louis team.
Way to go Canucks!
A good start to that road trip with a victory against San Jose tonight.
That old school, flopping leg kick save by Markie was impressive.
And Virtanen got another game-winner.
I heard something on the radio that made me smile.
You know how Loui Eriksson has had a rough ride since he's come to Vancouver? But have you noticed how they bring his line out to finish games when the other team pulls the goaltender in the last 2 minutes now?. Lately it's often Loui finishing the bad guys off with the empty netter and if not he's setting the goal up.
So the one guy on the radio chuckled and said they should call him "The Finisher," but that wasn't what made me smile.
Did you ever see that old baseball movie, Major league?
The other guy on the radio said "No. Call him Wild thing...and play the song when his line comes out to finish the game."
Here's what he's talking about, only with Loui and hockey.
That made me smile.
This Edmonton-Calgary game is unreal...
Damn! Shoot-out loss against Carolina. Oh well, a point is a point.
2-0-1 so far this road trip.
One more win makes it 3 out of 5. That's a road trip success. And like you say already there's the one extra point. Two of those and it's the same thing only not as satisfying.
The one I'd really like to win outright is the one on Tuesday against Boston. Fingers crossed.
Same. The boys doing fairly well on this road trip.
And here’s hoping Edmonton and Calgary meet in the playoffs. There would be some depleted benches by the end of that series.
