Nice Goal.
Gotta just love those "Disco" era Kings sweaters....
That was a pretty damn fine hockey game, too bad they had to ruin it by having a shootout....
Shootout Loss.
Overall a decent game. Luongo played very well, hopefully his slow season starts are a thing of the past.
Damn, losing in the shitout, not a good start for the boys. Other than losing I think the guys played a great game, even with the lousy ice. If we get this grade of hockey from the team for the rest of the season.....it's gonna be a GREAT season.
Next game....Monday vs the Panthers
its was a nice game to watch, i loved the nostalgia of it, I dont mind that LA won, it was close
I almost had a panic attack....I thought there wasnt a Nucks thread for this season....Phew!!!!
Vancouver vs Florida
This will be the lone meeting between the teams. Vancouver earned a 3-0 win against Florida on Feb. 11 at the BankAtlantic Center. Ex-Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo made 31 saves for the shutout.
Both teams enter Monday's action without a victory. Vancouver lost in a shootout against Los Angeles on Saturday night, while the Panthers came up short in their season opener at Edmonton on Sunday.
The Canucks will have to try to pick up their first win without the services of Alex Bolduc after the 25-year-old centre suffered an ankle injury on Saturday night. Forward Jeff Tambellini, an off-season free agent signing from the New York Islanders, is expected to make his Canucks' debut tonight in Bolduc's place.
7:00 pm PT on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific.
woot d sedin
I don't know, still seems so wrong calling Torres a Canuck...
woohoo d sedin restores the lead
..Daniel scores, bat the puck around the net much!!!
Victory!
Despite d sedin scoring both goals, the sedin line seems out of sync so far this season. Probably just pacing themselves I suppose.
The important thing right now is that Luongo is hot in the net, looks like he did a couple of years ago. The addition of Hamhuis and Ballard on the D is going to make it tough on the other guys back of the Blue line, looks like we might have a winning team here.
Next game is Wednesday in Anaheim.
For sure. When the goal went in off Erhoff's skate, all I could think was, "Not this shit again". If we had lost this game I can only imagine the kind of slump that would set in.
