Brenda Brenda:
Canada has two languages. If you want to work with a large Canadian company, you speak them both.

Not really. At my old job I had to deal with a vendor out of Montreal and they insisted that the legal contracts all be in French. I declined. They got huffy. We took our business elsewhere. That simple.

Well, I tend to agree with both of you on this.

Brenda has mentioned that Canada has 2 official languages. Therefore, both English and French should be recognized.

As for Bart, in that case, you had every right to take your business elsewhere. Although, it does surprise me that this particular company would not want to. Quebec, in order to compete globally, needs to do business in English. And that, not in a forceful manner, but because it simply makes sense. :D

I'm surprised to see people (canadians in particular) still site the anthem as "Oh" Canada ... please it's spelled and written as O Canada.

Please don't confuse economic necessity with what simply makes sense. In Canada we have a department of Indian affairs, how blatantly racist is that? In Qc, there are language police, how much common sense is that? In Qc the francophones pay the french to breed, they don't for English speakers does that make sense?

The only reason Qc officially tolerates English IS because of economic lively hood. But don't let that fool you, at the core they are about as anti Anglophone as I am anti-francophone.

The sooner that province gets punted the sooner this nation will start to move forward, otherwise it will be the death by a million needles for all of us.
