I beleive in much much harsher criminal penalties for crimes committed. Example, you steal a car, gratz you just got a 10 year prison sentence for the fist offence, 20 for the secnd time, and then three times and your our for life.

I also believe the seante has to be reformed or disbanded, the CBC privatized along with Canada post.I believe in our country focusing on the important things that help everyone, not just special interest groups.

The proble with the left is that they simply have become disconnected with reality and instead of focusing on important priciples, the Tall foreheads in the Ivory Towers of leftdom worry more aboutthings like the Spotted Arctic Rat rather then understanding everyday Canadians.

All these labels...I wouldnt even call you a "moderate centre" since moderate and centre suggests you are down the middle on all subjects. Sounds like your on the extreme left OR right on a couple of topics. Abortion at any stage, marriage for gays, "fuck you, your done son" to car thieves. Im not making a value judgement just that talking about the disconnection of "the left" seems odd in light of the fact that you share many extreme views(or at least what would seem extreme to a rightwinger) with them.

And I would say the Tower of "rightdom" is as disconnected from reality as any hippie.

Im an avowed Athiest so you can call it whatever you like, i call myself a moderate for a simple reason. Fiscal responsbility, national defence, giving our kids the best chance at a better life, and providing for common safety. That is the road that mdoerates shoud be on. Wasting time and energy on things which simply divide people is idiotic

Conservatives and moderates can take a serious lesson from the Republican party in the States. Religious conservatism based upon the myths of religion does not make for social policy. Any damn fool can claim "God" wants this, sadly for the U.S they had such a fol as thier President for 8 years. And now he is the most inpopular pesident in thire history. And this is for a nation that takes those kinds of issues more to heart than your average Canadian

The nation doenst have any place in the bedroom, and consulting adults can do whatever they want as long as it's safe. And since privacy is important for me , the ultimate form of privacy is your own body. Woman don't want the governmnet telling them that if they are preganant or become pregnant they simply are slaves to the process.

Real modeartes care about the thier nation as a whole, and shouldn't be worrying about if two dudes want to have sex with one another, and leave your mysticisim outside the voting booth.
