Mohammed as a terrorist
When half of the Middle East takes the name of (their) god, who knows maybe these were really "Mohammed the terrorist". I don't see any pictures of Mohammed to refute this.
Maybe the “real” Mohammed was a ugly SOB, I guess we’ll never know.

As fare as I know there have today been a Muslim demonstration on the city squire of Copenhagen (some 150 people) and there is suppose to be a “fare right” demonstration just north of Copenhagen – have not heard anything about it yet – but will keep you posted.
I would like to mention one thing – and that is that either the 150 Muslims or the fare right represent the Danish population.
Another thing is that the Danish intelligence service has warned that demonstrations at this time could escalate the crises even more. Therefore I think (me among) that people have been laying low – but given the burning of the Danish embassy in Syria people really want to show that we will not be bullied. At the same time I think many people don’t like to be associated with the fare right – so the demonstration will have to be organized by some leftist organization or party.
Icecap: I have tried explaining how these cartoons are seen in the general population in Denmark in a context of Danish debate – you are free to have our own opinion of these cartoons but don’t incite that the entire Danish population are racist!

No, that isn't what the cartoons were trying to say - "All Muslims are terrorists". However, I think that it is legitimate to draw a link between Islam and terrorism when those who terrorize the democracies are citing a certain interpretation of the Koran as justification. Subsequently it is the responsibility of the great majority of law abiding Muslims to turn on these extremists. This is all about Islam and how its followers practise it.
To analyse and critique religious beliefs, and specifically the beliefs of those who cite holy writings as a justification to blow the limbs off innocent passers-by, is not bigotry. It's a very real tenet of the principles of free speech. Likewise, measured and non-violent protest at such a critique is an equal part of free speech. Muslims have every right to be angry, just as Denmark (and others) has every right to protect the independence of its press.

I'll base my impressions of Muslims on the ones that I know and work with with, and not on the crazy radicals that get all your attention.
