Would Canada make a Logical Target

Why not, Air India was terrorism.
The only reason I can see why not is those terrorist organizations operating inside Canada are quietly fund raising and direct action would make them the center of attention. Such attention would make it more difficult to raise funds.
What worries me is we have FINALLY declared the Hells Angels to be organized crime. Let's face it, these are a pretty distinctive pack of thugs and we're still having enough trouble rooting them out. How well are we going to fair against groups that don't wear colors and don't advertise their illegal actions? Our police might be up to it but I doubt our courts and politicians are.

I can't believe that there are so many of us who do not see a terrorist attack happening here. In fact I can't believe it hasn't happened yet. To think that it won't happen here is crazy. OBL already called for attacks on all the countries involved in Afghanistan, and specifically mentioned Canada. And I hate to tell you but the UN has got F-all to do with it. Think about it... Timing is everything... G8 conference going on... We are one of those crusader nations, don't you know? Those kooks hate all of us that aren't like them.

Don't get me wrong here Bart but I am no fan of your president and his mess in Iraq but it is obvious to me that they target westerners of all kinds. Countries that are with you in Iraq may be more vulnerable to attack but sooner or later they will get to us. How easy it would be for them to set off explosions in any of a number of Canadian cities and melt right away into the scenery? Easy as pie where I live.

Exactally! It doesn't matter that Afghanistan was sanctioned by the UN. Canadian troops killed Muslim Taliban. That's all that's needed for the Islamic Fundamentalists to attack us.
We're a big supplier of oil, gas and natural resources to the US. If they wanted to hurt the US, we would be a target of extreme economic and mental opportunity. They've been hitting oil pipelines in Iraq for just that reason. What if the price at the pumps in Nowhere, HeartlandAmerica suddenly jumped to $5 a gallon? What would that do to the average American's pocketbook?

If the child coudn't detonate the bomb himself<just had to take the thumb off a release trigger> a secondary,or actually the primary switch was a cellphone trigger attached to the explosives.....
Another strange fact about the movie it is a "British"movie,and the decoy target;yes a decoy target was the subway system which I think was in NYC.
There is another "British" movie out in video where terrorists smuggle in and detonate a"Dirty Bomb" in London England..

Just think how easy it would be to detonate a trainload of chlorine,propane etc..tank cars in a major city...Example of a train bomb is the" Mississauga train explosion"

I voted for Bush but am not a fan of his. The choices were Bush or Kerry. Electing a pacifist when a war is on (and I mean the one that started on 9/11 - not Iraq) is a bad idea.
But these guys were attacking the USA when Clinton was President so to them, at least, it isn't a matter of who in in the White House. You're right, they just hate Westerners.
I hope to God they do not attack Canada. No matter how much I may disagree with anyone on this site (including IceOwl) I sure as hell don't want to see any of you get hurt. Hopefully this problem can be resolved before they attack Canada.

It'll happen here sooner or later probably won't be an indiscriminate attack on the subway or transit like in London but targeted at our Jewish community in Toronto I'm afraid. The terrorists could take their pick of soft targets up and down Bathurst, hell my wife was taking courses in the same building as teh Israeli consulate and I thought how easy it'd be for someone to bomb that place.
