Would Canada make a Logical Target

Non... Seriously... Is Al-Qaida looking at our soil as a target or just a strategic ground to coordinate an attack on the US. In the past few year, Al-Qaida has been targeting the transit system. Montreal and Toronto could make great targets.

Al-Qaeda doesn't attack indiscriminately. Their targers are selected for a purpose. Also they are done against targets in opposition to them (US, Spain, and now England).

Canada has ground troops in Afghanistan. And our Government is rather instable right now. With a guarantied election in the Fall. Looks like we could qualify.
Or perhaps you're paranoid.
Besides it wouldn't be so bad if they attacked Toronto... jerks!

No it wouldn't. Afghanistan was UN sanctioned. This insurgency/mofo's/wanna-be-terrorists have never professed to being against the UN. Canada gave a big thumbs down to any roll in Iraq. Thus I can't see that we'd be on the opposing end of an attack.
However.. I could see them using Canada as a staging ground to co-ordinate something against the US. Why? because they'd never blend in amongst the Mexican's.

US, Spain, and now England
xerxes are you sure, think hard there is alot more places then that.
Even if we are in Afghanistan, I don't think we are on the top of their list.
Having troops in Iraq is seen as a much better criteria.
I recently bought a car and I don't go very often in downtown Montreal so I'm not very scared

Or perhaps you're paranoid.
Anyone who said on Sept. 10th, 2001 that Arabs would hijack four planes and run them into buildings the next would've been called 'paranoid'. For that matter, the FBI agents who DID say these things were silenced and dismissed as paranoid.

I'm sure there are, but I was highlighting the more notable instances.
"Just because I have schizophrenia, paranoia, and delussions doesn't mean I don't have enemies"
Perhaps, but paranoid people may also have a pet dog or emu. It's not like Canada are infadels who went intot he islamic holyland during the coldwar right?

Well, there's a reason surprise attacks are called 'surprise' attacks so when this happens in Canada I'm sure you'll be properly surprised.

UN sanctioned or not... we have a red and white flag for all to see in Afghanistan. Paranoid, no. Aware would describe it better. We have to be aware that we could be a target. Canadians seem to have their head in the sand when it comes to this. They did find box cutters on an AirCanada Plane in Toronto on Sept 11. The plane never got a chance to take off.
Why not, Air India was terrorism.
The only reason I can see why not is those terrorist organizations operating inside Canada are quietly fund raising and direct action would make them the center of attention. Such attention would make it more difficult to raise funds.
What worries me is we have FINALLY declared the Hells Angels to be organized crime. Let's face it, these are a pretty distinctive pack of thugs and we're still having enough trouble rooting them out. How well are we going to fair against groups that don't wear colors and don't advertise their illegal actions? Our police might be up to it but I doubt our courts and politicians are.
The British Government just suspended all cellular (wireless) service as the bombs were determined to have been detonated by cell phones and (so far) are not considered suicide attacks.
