Well, maybe not as an economist as such, but he held high positions in private business which means he knows how to run a country as well.

I don't buy that either. Governments are not companies; the motivations are different. He might know how to manage people and budgets and forecasts etc., and some of those skills intersect, but that's doesn't qualify him to manage a country.

We can see how his skill in micromanaging are leading to all sorts of fun times! Far more than the scandals we had with Cretien!

Sorry, Caleb. I was just using you as a straight man to point out the idiocy of Harper as an economist. JT has far more real world experience than Harper, who's basically been in politics all his life.

Jabberwalker @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 5:36 pm

JT has far more real world experience than Harper

Oh, Bruvva!

andyt @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 5:41 pm

Can you say different. The point isn't that JT has all this experience, but that Harper had essentially none before he became a full time pol.

Zipperfish @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 5:45 pm

Harper was certainly perceived as "not ready for prime time" for quite a while. For different reasons than JT though.

Jabberwalker @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 5:46 pm

Well, he was a full time whiner with the National Citizen's Coalition. I guess that Justin cut his teeth leering how to laugh at Joe Clark from his father.

andyt @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 5:50 pm

People always hate the beautiful. He's actually shown himself to be quite a good politician as far as winning the leadership - he has a strong organization behind him. He may surprise people when the time comes.

Saying fuck, big fucking deal. I don't really see any of his stupid statements as being all that bad, except maybe the China one.

As I say, this election will be Harper's to lose. As it usually is for the govt, and his govt is looking tired.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Anyone else see the absurdity that he's speaking from a ring where people will beat the tar out of each other, and people are offended he's swearing? What's next, male nipples?

Exactly.

Holy fuck...guy swore.

Big deal.

Next time see the usual suspects scream over seeing him in Parliament with a single Windsor Knot vice the double!

Oh the humanity.

andyt @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 6:03 pm

What's the song say? "When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose?" They got nothing, so what do they have to lose to make a fuss about it.

CBC just played PT's response to reporters hounding him about "fuddle duddle". I know he did a lot to fuck up the country, but it also reminded me why I voted for him at the time.

Thanos @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 6:22 pm

As far as "damaging gaffes" go this one is pretty fucking lame.

PS: fuck you.

Zipperfish @ Mon Mar 31, 2014 7:41 pm

II'm voting for Justin Bieber. Won't catch him dropping the f-bomb.

JT is a prime candidate to win the election. He's light on substance but he looks pretty and speaks well.

Thanks OTL. We can always count on you to regurgitate the Conservative talking points.

The f-bomb ain't much of a bomb any more since cable.

Are you this much of an idiot in real life or do you save your moments of genius for this forum?

Conservative talking points? I've been saying that about JT since before he was leader. I also predicted him to win the next election....not exactly a CPC talking point, is it? I knew I had heard that somewhere! CPC members all over the place running around saying Justin will win the next election.

Not all people that support a certain political party always regurgitate party talking points. Had you been paying attention over the last few years, you would have figured that out.

Who, exactly, are you trying to kid? Yourself?

Here's the Conservatives on Trudeau:

$1:
"In over his head"

Here's you:

$1:
Cause it's cheesy and unprofessional and not fitting for a MOP

$1:
He's light on substance but he looks pretty and speaks well.

And that's when you bothered to actual respond with your own wordews. Sometimes you just taped in the youtube attack ads.

Here's the Conservatvies on Ignatieff:

$1:
"Just Visiting"

Here's you, in 2012:

$1:
This guy is to Ontario what Michael Ignatieff was to the Federal Liberals.

"Just visiting".

Here's the Conservartives on Dion:

$1:
Stephane Dion: Not a Leader.

Here's you in 2007:

$1:
As a Liberal, what he "stands for" changes depending on the wind.

Apparently you had a big problem that his wife bought his underwear for him too. Several posts of outrage there concerning Dion's ostensible lack of ability to choose and/or purchase his own undergarments. Yet you wax eloquent about how stupid voters are to be obsessed with meaningless asides all the time.

Your illusion of free will is pretty funny though.
