Count_Lothian Count_Lothian:
wow you admit to insulting me, and then actually think that it is normal to spend a billion dollars of tax payers money on attack ads.
The tin foil hat accusation is a desperate attempt at denying the truth.
Never in all my life have i seen Liberal attack ads paid for by the Canadian taxpayer.
Never has the Liberal party spent so much of their time in office spending tax dollars on constant spin.
Attack ads?
Do show me some attack ads that are funded by the taxpayer.

It's got all the same offensive blatant con tactics of a cult.
The only political cult that ever existed in Canada was the one that grew around Trudeau Sr.. The only one similar, in utter silliness if not in the same order of magnitude, is the one that's been built around Jack Layton.
OnTheIce OnTheIce:
Perhaps my views of certain people are the similar to that of the CPC's views, but many people of all political stripes share similar views about these politicians. You've yet to demonstrate that my opinions are the 'same'. They aren't.
I rarely read/watch anything political nor do I belong to any political party. I haven't read a party document, flyer or pamphlet since 2008-2009. I've never been so far away from politics than I am now.
So what led you believ that trudeau is light on substance then? Have you talked to him personally? That would seem to be the most reliable way to determine it. If not, where did you get your information from?
$1:
You sir, have your own biases that you need to work out. You need to open your eyes around you and see that what you assume is going on, actually isn't.
Yes I certainly do. Which I readily admit. Which is what you can't seem to bring yourself to do. Which is my point.

We are all biased to some extent, even me {perish the thought). I blame it on the fact that I was raised in a Liberal household.

Count's been ranting for a full page now, and all I can think is......... adscam.

Yeah well the motivation was for Quebec to stay in Canada.
It's aim was directed at a sepertits party of now bigoted flotsam.
Unlike what we have seen since Harper destroyed the ideals of the Reform , conned Peter fuckehead MacKay into joining a now EXTINCT REFORM PARTY AND IT'S BASIC TENETS with a promise of leadership to Peter peter pumpkin eater had a cool girlfriend and couldn't keep her.
We watched as Harper did nothing in minority governments except campaign.
Once in total power used Canadian dollars to campaign with action ads.
Adscam worked.
People forget that, and vie for their only option, in order to bolster Harperism.
Anyone supporting Harperism is being conned and is nothing other than supporting a logo

there is nothing left of the Great Canadian Federal Conservative Party.
Mike Harris destroyed the Ontario version, Tim Hudac is trying to bring it back, somewhat successfully.
The Mike Harris crowd helped to destroy the Federal Conservative ideal with Harper.
I don't know who to vote for .
i voted for Harper a few times and am now feeling conned and ruled.
There was no way i could vote for Dion, and when Ignatieff was on the stage , I really wanted to see Harper win a majority and help Canada.
what a frigging mistake.

I agree with you there. Peter McKay was the guy who stabbed it in the back, and Preston Manning is still the best Prime Minister Canada never had.

I don't know who to vote for .
I rarely vote for anybody, usually against them. If I could determine the outcome at the moment, I would vote for a minority for Harper. That would stop a lot of his abuses (I'm very concerned about the "fair voting" bill). Maybe if JT does lay out a solid platform I could see voting for him. Can't blame him for not doing that until closer to the election.

I've actually met Justin many years ago and his late brother, Michel. Granted, that was many years ago.
My opinion about Justin stems from his conduct in the House and his general conduct outside of his workplace. He's a very passionate man but he often speaks before he thinks. He gets all the points in the world for style, he doesn't have the experience as an MP or a leader to bring much substance to the table.

Unfortunately for my conscious , I never voted for Preston.
I wish I threw my support for his party at that awesome time, if for nothing other than for my conscious.
It shows you how fragile a political party really is. We lost more than just a chance for a great Prime Minister in Preston.
I just could not make the leap due to predacious prejudice wrought from party loyalties.
you know the ones, support either the Conservatives or Liberals, and do not under any circumstance even consider the NDP.
I'm one of those….but maybe not…live and learn eh!

i think he thinks in French and when talking he stammers.
I've watched him get rid a lot of the whole uuuuhm thing when talking.
The saving grace is he was born into Parliament Hill.
That and his well travelled and educated self does indeed bring something more than Harperism to the Canadian Table.
I think he would make a great friend to hang out with.
he is not some self serving politico.
I see a guy who wants to make a difference.
his party knows the economy and they never fucked it over.
they managed to keep good government jobs for the common people to enjoy.
they never slashed and burned the common working bloke.
unlike Harperism.
Canada is now a place where the common folk need at least three jobs and mom's basement if you are young.

False and false. Harper hasn't fucked up the economy at all. In fact, our Country made it quite well through a recession....which wasn't the fault of Canada or the Canadian government.
During the previous Liberal reign, they slashed and burned everything and for you to think otherwise is ignoring the truth.

So that scandal of stealing money was ok in your mind because the supposed
front page cover up was 'honourable' ?

Hey Doc, remember this when the next round of medals comes up, especially
the 'utter retarded left wing' ones.

you obviously have drank the kool aid.
under the previous Liberals the economy was the largest ever.
the banking rules flaherty brags about were asked by the conservative party to be changed to wall street rules and Chretien said no.
i drank the kool aid too.. i know the signs.
you need to to get off it.

have fun with that

Yea, and they still left office with more debt than when they started? Brilliant financial management eh? The best times for this Country and they didn't pay off enough of our debt.
The economy was strong, yet none of it was their doing. Our economy is driven by the World economy. It's exactly why our Country fell into a recession.
