Ali's Islam Thread
he's sort of right tricks. we didn't evolve from monkeys, but share a common primate ancestor with them

Ali786 Ali786:
lol I don't need scientific proof, just like our ancesters didn't need scientific proof to know the world was round or how the universe was created, we have the word of God and we have all the info we need.
Uh... The same people who thought God created the universe thought the world was flat. And we did need proof, his name was Columbus. As for the universe, it's called the Big Bang. A theory backed by science trumps a book written thousands of years ago. Sorry.
$1:
I don't give a shit what Islam, Christianity or Judaism say on Evolution. They are wrong. And when you make a statement like "Human beings were not monkeys" which I think was meant to mean that we did not evolve from the same ancestor, then yes, you need to have proof aside from a fucking book written before we could even begin to imagine evolution.
Ali786 Ali786:

CAIR says differently. it puts the number at 1.2 billion.
Well, we have our sources and the number of Muslims in the world wasn't the debate, it was whether we are with you in teh 21st century or not, and I just proved that we are, since I am talking to you right now as a Muslim on the internet from Canada.
we're talking about mindset not using technology developed by another society.

That's what I meant. We didn't evolve directly from monkeys, but we are descendants of Primates. However, Primate is generally associated with "monkeys" so I figured I wouldn't get technical

2. any of various omnivorous mammals of the order Primates, comprising the three suborders Anthropoidea (humans, great apes, gibbons, Old World monkeys, and New World monkeys), Prosimii (lemurs, loris, and their allies), and Tarsioidea (tarsiers), esp. distinguished by the use of hands, varied locomotion, and by complex flexible behavior involving a high level of social interaction and cultural adaptability.

Yes, women are allowed to serve in the army as non-combat officers.
Why only non-combat?
$1:
And, what are you refering to, when you say, "they were doing it before any soldiers invaded"? Any sources?
Um how about Saudi Arabia? They weren't invaded, and my Dad went over there for a business meeting, and was invited to a beheading.

Ali786 Ali786:
Because in Islam, women cannot take part in war because they can be subjected to torture, rape and many other horrible things, if they were caught as combatants. We do not want our women fighting in the battlefield, instead they can help the soldiers, who's sole duty is to give his life for his religion and God and if he ill treated while held prisoner then he can handle it.
So even if they wanted to, they wouldn't be allowed?
$1:
Well, the beheading you are referring to is a Death Sentence, which is carried out in public so people don't murder, rape or commit some of the crimes that we find in our societies in the West. Harsh punishments can only mean lower crime rate, if you think beheading a Human is gross then what about Hangings, Poison Injections and the electric chair? I think I rather be beheaded, which is the fastest and painless way of dying then be electrocuted to death.
Death sentences here happen once in a blue moon, but like 2cdo said, it happens all the time over there.

So even if they wanted to, they wouldn't be allowed?
I am not a religious authority so I cannot give you a answer that will be based on facts and history but the basics are that women in Islam are allowed to be in the army as long as they are not combatants. I am sure you are trying to emaphasize on the fact that Women should have a choice regardless of what their religion says, I am sorry but thats not how Islam works. Quran and Sunnah provide us with a good description on how a Muslim should be and we follow that so some of the choices that are against the will of God will not be exercised.

If the punishment for a crime is death then why should it matter, how their live is taken?
2cdo isn't exactly a historian nor has he provided any sources regarding that comment so if you have any sources then please share.
Screw that, I'm fighting non combat my ass. How they hanging Ali want a beer

So Islam doesn't allow choice?

So a book tells you how to act and you do it. Ignorance is bliss eh?

It's not so much how, but the how often.
