"Athough you are murdering a fetus just the same you are a murderer and in some cases a serial murderer " (of a living "breathing" being)

Thankfully, Canada doesn't agree with your position. Science either. However, I'll say to you and others who would limit the rights a woman has on her own body, "Hands off."

unfortunately if oxygens final resting place ends up in the blood stream then science probably wouldn't disagree unless they are willing to argue amongst themselves .

Now because a fetus cannot function on its own this should mean that all life support systems should be shut down for all surgerys including open heart . If a human body is incapable of functioning on its own it should be considered to be a fetus or equivalent to would infact metaphor the death of fetuses .

Regarding the Hands Off issue ,yes and absolutely I agree but I have no problem with explaining that they are murdering a fetus ...noone says I have to use politically correct words like terminate . Abortion is one thing but to promote it is just something I'm not a coward about disageeing with .

Interesting definition of breathing. I wonder how many cells would get a new found human designation on this account.

Wow, sounds like a good argument for extended socialist positions... Just because Joe can't seem to hold a job on his own we should support him for the rest of his days. You do support the same type of thoughts for post birth humans? Perhaps, the Religious Right should invest their money into life support systems for fertilized eggs. I'd wrather have my seed ended than left to the likes of you.

And I have no problem labeling some one who wants to save fertilized eggs and stem cells at the expense of existing functioning humans, theocratic nut jobs.

I suppose my worst experience with this topic was having a heart to heart with a mommy friend of mine. She had an unviable fetus in her (it was dead), she needed a late term abortion but couldn't find a doctor who was trained in the procedure because of the pressure on med schools. (I'm sure this problem will go away once ID is tought in future medical schools.)
She ended up having to live with a dead fetus in her for over two months in great emotional and physical discomfort. Way to go.

Nope, I'd rather tax religious organizations until they can keep their morals to themselves. A fertalized cell is not a human.

He did already have input into the process. He didn't have to sleep with her, and, if he's in that position, odds are that he decided he didn't want to use a condom, either. Maybe he should have thought about that beforehand.
and the woman, in not refusing sex, had her input as well, no? If she didn't want a child maybe she should have thought about that beforehand.

This obviously doesn't apply to woman who've been assaulted, but I don't see why your logic is so one sided.

Our reproductive process is unfair. It's a pity that it's that way, but it is.

As it is, both parents are deemed equally responsible for the welfare of any kids they produce, which is as it should be. Making the reproductive process more fair is something which we cannot really do, nor should we attempt to do, in my opinion.

Last time I checked babies couldnt communicate as well as mothers and fathers. That may have something to do with it. Not to mention its a bit difficult to understand a fetus through all that fat.

What baby? If I discovered a way to turn each one of my little swimmers into a complete human what right would I have to deny all those little humans life that is daily created within me. Isn't it terribly selfish to deprive these little humans of my knowledge and the ensuing life instead of letting them trickle down the thigh of my lover? If I am not required to give the swimmers life with knowledge why should a woman be required to provide life with her body?
A bundle of cells does not make a baby.

does a baby need to communicate to have the right to live?

you are sooooo stupid. your "swimmers" are only half of what is needed make a baby. life isn't created daily in you. to argue such a thing (especially to equate sperm with children) is so moronic i can hardly believe you wasted the effort to post it.
what, then does a bundle of cells make? a sheep? or maybe a gazelle, or a chicken perhaps?

SJ-24 @ Mon Oct 02, 2006 9:00 pm

Not only am I in support of abortion, but I'll even supply the coat hanger if the gal wants me too!

As a man, I firmly believe I have no say in whether or not a woman has an abortion. The day I can give birth will be the day I speak up about how i really feel. Until then, I'll simple stand on the side lines and laugh at the bible thumpers who talk about how ever life is important and shant be wasted...and wonder how many little boys they've molested...No wonder they want all the children saved. Take away the kids and they have no sex toys! 8O

Indelible @ Mon Oct 02, 2006 9:04 pm

you see hypocrisy in a few and you label all people who believe in God the same way? and that is how you justify abortion.

Now that the church has become a political party they get all the benefits that go with it.

Ever here of cloning? I don't think they've figured out how to do it with sperm but the tech is certainly there... idiot.

Life is created daily, and daily within me. You think that I was born with all the swimmers I'm going to have. You're folks shouldn't have kept you out of sex ed. Think the thought is stupid? Now you know how you sound.

yeah, cause that happens like very day, right? so because a scientist can almost make an identical copy of a human it's ok to tear babies limb from limb. right.

Reffering to pigeonholing. Just because you are x you share all the attributes of the caracature of x. Mixing religion and politics is a bad idea.

You are the one suggesting that cells that have Oxygen are breathing. You're right give me a break. Once the Fundies get in Onanism will be a sin again. Withholding the seed can be a sin, passing up an oportunity to breed in the name of god.

Is it viable? Let it find a nice incubater. What is it before quickening?
