The Church went hard right. A lot of folk, including myself decided to bale on it. Good choice.

well, i didn't become christian to get away from catholicism, but when i became a christian i started to notice all the things that were lacking in the roman catholic tradition. i don't expect the catholic church to change. that, obviously is hard for it to do. i still went to the catholic masses regularly after i became a christian then i slowly started going to christian churches and stopped going to catholic ones. i didn't really notice a huge change in the church as far as attitude or politics go, but at the time there was a huge shortage of priests, there was a shuffle of priests and nowadays there is still a shortage of priests. (2 priests doing all the masses at 3 churches).

I actually went the other way. I got tired of the Baptist BS and went into Hanna Arendt and Thomas Merton. I spent a summer in Poland and got to talk to a lot of cool young priests. This all lead to an interest in the Cistercians and some other Catholic offshoots. Actually came pretty close to going Cistercian.

Eh, I'm pro life, but I'm open. Like..I can't get a judgement on it, I've never been there. I think, at least give the child up for adoption but..that's just me. If someone want to do it, that's their buisness, not mine.

Pro-life means you favour the right to life of the child-- that that child cannot have his right to life taken away.

You have more of an anti-abortion position.

Personally, I favour the term "fetal rights".
