Who exactly is "the world"? Who are these people who are going to risk starting WW3 with the most powerful nation in the world just to save Canada from becoming a US state? We have strategic position and could take over Canada easily.

I agree that i would die fighting off a USA invasion. Britian would help us out and so would Germany and France, Austraila and Russia. Atfer the USA was pushed back into there country, we would then take DC and run up the Canadian flag, then hand over power to the UN so they could put in a provinsinal goverment. ah....we can dream cant we.

   

The fact that the US are already pretty much Canada's baby-sitters.

Canada the the oposite of the USA is every way posible. We watc the same TV shows, listin to the same music, and talk and dress the same. That why the world thinks we are the same. But are political system, social stucture, and ideas/belifs are so ahead of time, to that the USA is so behind the times, so backwards compared to Canada and the rest of the world.

   

ROFL.. That is a dumbass question.. ever hear of Vietnam? Well, if the U.S decided to annex Canada.. well, it would be a situation way WORSE than Vietnam was for you. #1. The American poeple would not support a war of this nature. Public Opinion would be at the lowest point of the low. #2. Canadians(most) would fight tooth and nail.. guerrillla style. You would be fighting people armed with modern weapons to pitchforks. #3. Dont forget there are a LOT of Canadians already down there within your borders, and there are a lot of 'Canadian Sympathizers' in your own country also.. ans also, the rest of the planet would be supportive to us, NOT you. and the only way the U.S can win a global war is by annihilating itself in the process.. so its a lose/lose situation for them.. suicidal if you asked me.

   

Doomsday, you think way too highly of your countries potential. For a start, I believe Canada is still part of the commonwealth, Britain's involvement alone in a fight against the US over the most unjustified war would... well it would almost be funny. You should give it a go, it would be the states undoing, could do the world a lot of good. You would be treated by the world as a terrorist state, not sure why you're not already? Swarming with UN weapons inspectors, haha. Unfortunately for you, every super-power falls and your way of thinking my friend reeks of Nazi Germany. Most of the world would jump at a justified chance to bring the US down including most of the middle-east, Russia, China and most of Europe. Let us not forget all of the new nuclear powers in the world just twitching to try out their newly purchased "made in US" weapons. The states 3 million plus forces, which are already streched pretty thin pissing off people around the world, against a Nation of 30 plus million. Hmm I wonder the implications? Super power no more I would say. The American people would never stand with their government to invade Canada, and Canadians would take great pride in defending our country to the end. This would inevitably lead to utter humiliation for the U.S. Too bad none of us were around when we burnt their white house down and partied when we whupped ass last time. There's your answer buddy. Vietnam is one example, the movie "Blackhawk Down" is another. Based on a true story, but made up to the nines to make the U.S. forces look galant, they had their asses saved by U.N. forces from Pakistan and France. Who would save them here in the land of the Ass kicking Canadian?
