If the US keeps running deficits like our fearless spend and spend Republican President...Canada will soon be able to buy the US and make it a province.

The US debt is a troubling thing. China could shut the place down jsut by calling in the loans. I don't think we'd want to the US as a province though...traditionally when you buy a bankruptcy you are expected to pay off at least part of the debt that caused the bankruptcy in the first place.

   

Ok If Canada and The US ever went to war (hahaha like that would EVER happen) i think they would try to "AMERICANIZE" us.
It would def have to be something strong to fight with us? But what? we dont or have ever had any major beef with them. I think canada and the us wouldnt go to actual "WAR" but the US would boycott Canada and restrict it's citizens from entering this country

   

If the USA invaide Canada our armed forces would be overwlemd. They would kick are ass's that way. But the Those who were not dead, would start one hell of a resistance. Plus we would have the hearsat and minds of the world on our side. Britian would come to our aid, Austraila too. All of NATO for that matter.

   

Without Britian or Austrailia(who aren't even that powerful in numbers as far as military goes, and barely have THAT much equipment, and during world war 2 had had to use the US's military power, just like NATO)Canada would be fucked. You can talk about resistance this, resistance that, but if the Americans went all out and carpet bombed your cities, and sent troops in world war 2 style, you could not do anything. You're thinking of this in a Iraq war way, of the Americans trying to win the hearts and minds, but if the Americans just went to war with Canada over hatred and wanting to destroy you, they could easy do it if you ask me.

   

You need to learn about World War 2 before you speak.

The thing about Iraq is we are trying to win the hearts and minds. If the US wanted to, they could flatten all the cities and kill all the people. And AdamNF, how about you shut the fuck up with that "you need to learn about World War 2" bullshit. Just because Canada fought in World War 2 doesn't mean if the US attacked Canada today Canada would win. The US could flatten all your cities and has a much better army(unless you're a fool and think you have a better army). If this was an all out war, no hearts and minds, the US could bomb the shit out of your cities, kill the civilians, and destroy Canada. The US has enough people in it's country to put together an army with the population of Canada. The US also supplied a major amount of supplies to all the allies during world war 2, so without the US's help in that part, I think the Allies would have been screwed. Imagine what would have happened if the US had been on the axis side....

Can't say I disagree with that, but this is a hypothetical conversation, basically made so Americans and Canadians can scream at each who is better and who would beat each other in a war. Petty, yes, but fun, yes indeed.

Wow, you took a quote completely out of context. I was responding to people who were saying that the US couldn't win the hearts and minds in Canada. My line was basically saying winning the hearts and minds would never work, and if it was an all out war, not to bother winning the hearts and minds, and flatten the cities. That is why I thought the US would win. If it was a hearts and minds war, the US has a good chance of losing, but if the US was fighting Canada in an all out, world war 2 style war, just the US vs Canada, the US would win. Next time read what I say and think, and don't take one sentence out of context to make it sound like I said the US is winning the hearts and minds in Iraq. Bitch! hahaha
