We don't have "Left of Center" channels. Sorry, it's the simple truth of the matter.

Whats the CBC ? spot on center, fair and balanced ?

The hits keep on comming, thanks for the laughs.

Pretty damn close to it. Seriously.

Is that what you think of people that lean to the right? Kind of arrogant don't you think?

Looking at Fox news?

Lean? yes.

Driving a car at 90 miles an hour, which is on fire, off a cliff to the right. And that's where the CPC is heading.

Not a bit.

This is not about Fox news or the Conservative party. In case you aren't aware this is about a Canadian company that wants to start a news channel that is marketed to right leaning Canadians. This is not Fox News, it is an independent Canadian media company. This is also not a branch of the CPC. There are many right wing Canadians that probably don't support the CPC, and I can assure you that most right wing Canadians don't live in mobile homes just as much as left leaning Canadians aren't all pot smoking hippies.

Just like the "Right" claims that the CBC is part of the Liberal party?

Ya, ok ,lol, whatever.

And you still haven't commented on Fox's new's association with an anti-semite.

herbie herbie:
So after convincing enough people that all the other news media are biased a lot will buy the notion that reporting with a clearly stated intentional bias is actually news?
Works well on a population used to 'Eleven at Eleven' and E.T. but I'd hoped we weren't so dumbed down.

No.

After convincing people that news stations are going to be biased, they are going to figure out that they should take any news story from any singular source with a grain of salt. That people choose to accept some station as perfectly unbiased is unnerving, no matter which station it is. That is the only message I myself am trying to get across here.

You have a tough time seeing things from others viewpoints eh?

We'll leave it at that shall we?

I suppose it might slightly offset the Soviet views in your basement. Maybe.

All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.

It won't offset jack, I won't be watching it.

Also, I am not a Stalinist, which was the focus of Animal Farm. Thanks.

I'm sorry Mr C.

You have the hammer-and-sickle on your avatar. It's the symbol of a regime as nasty as the Nazis.

A regime that murdered millions of Russians and oppressed half of Europe for 40 years.

Symbols mean a lot. You should choose your symbols wisely.

This channel has no affiliation with Fox News. Why do I care who Fox News has on their shows?

Apollo @ Sun Jun 13, 2010 6:30 pm

CBC not left wing? An inconvenient truth or a Michael Moore movie is on at least once a week. A majority of their senior management have made direct contributions to the Liberal Party.

All CBC employees are told to buy left shoes only.

For the male employees, they have to "wear the thing" to the left.

If cable can include Al-Jazeera it can include one designed for Canadian conservatives. And Can-con rules (here's me thanking them for existing for probably the first time in my life) will force them to be dominantly of Canadian content, which means the station won't become a second home on the dial for any of the programs with the assholes from FOX. I expect mostly a bunch of pro-business/laugh at the Libs/Dippers/quasi-libertarian stuff from them. It probably won't be an effective outlet for the religious pricks (any shows featuring the incredibly horrible Byfield family rambling on about God sending all the queers to Hell would probably cause a 75% ratings drop on the spot) because even most Canadian conservatives don't respond too well to any of the Jesus-24/7 crap like the Americans do. More stations on TV the merrier I say. It'll make those dicks at CBC and CTV pay some attention and maybe work harder for thir shrinking slice of the pie.
