May is still PM because no one in the Remainer wing of Parliament has been shot for treason just yet.
Now let's see what happens when it comes time to get out.

Friday.
April 12 is the new due date for the Brexit.
It would have been better if the cut off was the 14th.
Makes no difference. 29th, 12th, 14th. Just delaying the fall off the cliff.

Why do you assume that the Brexit will be a portent of doom for the UK?
I don't.
Here's the things that the UK undeniably gains from the Brexit:
1. Control of their currency, the pound.
2. Control of immigration with no more demands from Brussels.
3. UK agriculture will no longer be under EU control.
4. UK fisheries will no longer be closed in part or in whole to UK fishermen while open to EU fishermen.
5. The UK will retain control of their military.
#5 is a serious issue because when the Brexit was being discussed the Remainers and the EU OPENLY LIED about their intentions to create an EU military and they ridiculed notions that they were planning to do this.
Now they admit they were planning to do it all along and as of the past few months they're rushing to take over all of the member militaries in order to give the EU even more control over their members.
That's why there's no serious push for a second referendum and that's because more people will vote for the Brexit this time around. Euronews (center-left) this past week ran a story on the people who were swinging from Remain to Leave and noted that they could not find anyone changing from Leave to Remain.
The question here is will May and the Remainers in Parliament defy the growing number of people who want out of the EU by pulling a stunt to cancel the Brexit?

It would coincide with another British disaster. The Sinking of the RMS Titanic.

Curious, why do you assume the UK retaining its sovereignty will be a 'disaster' for the UK?

I don't, if that's what the people wanted. However this decision to leave has been such a disjointed mess; The united Kingdom will be lucky to emerge with all her realms intact. The Scot's are not happy, the Northern Irish are not happy, The Welsh... who cares about them.... The English are growing increasingly unhappy.
To me Brexit is a lot like the Titanic, both were poorly designed and executed and both sank slowly from an event that could have been avoided had they moved just a bit more cautiously. Government cannot function properly if if its constantly in no-confidence vote mode.
Time to pump the breaks, maybe hold another referendum and gauge, truly, whether the British people want to leave the EU.

I was living in Britain when we joined the "Common Market". In the months that followed all the home grown beef, veggies, fruit, bacon etc was replaced by inferior products from mainly France. we were thoroughly pissed off and boycotted anything that was not homegrown. Stores were fined if they sold anything not approved by the mandarins in Brussels. It's now time to tell the EU to eff off and leave Britannia alone.

So, do you support Quebec having a third try ?
Or Alberta having one ?
And what do you say to the 17.4 million, who voted, truly, they even marked
it on a paper.
That their vote was not worth being counted, because the government is nothing
more than a bunch of traitorous fucks ?

I do.
All government are traitorous fucks.
Really then don't be surprised when the Scots and Irish tell London to sod off

While you have a point, there are also things the EU does for the common market that the UK will now have to do for itself. Product testing, car manufacture standards, drug approvals - that will cost it a giant sum if it wants access to the EU market.
Even the process for selling vegetables might mean the veggies wilt and die during the process for importation, just as one example.
And waiting 2 weeks will not accomplish what they failed to do in 2 years.
